Ducati is significantly expanding Ducati Riding Experience in 2023

No better way to bind customers to your brand than to do something with those customers on a regular basis. They understand that all too well at Ducati and so the Italians have further expanded the Ducati Riding Experience program for the 2023 season.

Ducati is significantly expanding Ducati Riding Experience in 2023

“Ducati Riding Experience is the package with which we want to enrich the lives of motorcyclists around the world,” said Ducati in its press release about next season’s DRE program.

Each DRE format, according to Ducati, is characterized by an excellent teaching proposal with top-level instructors (including several former professional riders), prestigious venues and, of course, a lot of fun on the motorcycles from Ducati’s line-up, the rental of which is for the entire duration of the event included in the registration.

The DRE project was born in 2003 and over these twenty years has welcomed more than 28,000 participants. The innovations introduced for 2023 in the training courses of the DRE Academy and the trips organized by DRE Travel Adventures are, according to Ducati, proof that “continuous improvement” is the motto that characterizes the company.

All information and details for registering for the 2023 season are available on the dedicated pages of the Ducati.com website. On the scheduled dates, participants can enjoy a real Ducati-style experience on the main Italian circuits and discover the beauty of Italy, also in terms of landscapes and food. Thus Ducati.

The three DRE Road and DRE Rookie events will take place at the Modena circuit over the weekends of May 20-21, June 24-25 and September 9-10. The DRE Racetrack will be organized twice, on June 6-7 and September 26-27 at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

The new DRE Track Warm Up is scheduled for the weekend of June 17-18 at the Modena circuit. Registration for the DRE Adventure will open in January 2023 with the following calendar: May 25-26 and 27-28, July 13-14 and 15-16, July 20-21 and 22-23, 7-8 and 9-10 Sept.

As for the DRE Travel Adventures, the first scheduled date is the one with the DesertX Expedition in Sardinia from June 12 to 16. The four “Dream Tours” events will take place on July 3-5, July 10-12, October 13-15 and October 17-19. The Multistrada expedition starts on October 3 from Turin and ends on October 8.

According to Ducati, the dates already included in the calendar only represent a first part of the total DRE offer for 2023. The DRE calendar will be further expanded in the coming months.

The DRE Track Warm Up is the most important new part of the DRE Academy 2023 season. The course has been completely revamped independently of the DRE Racetrack and offers a specific focus on motorcyclists who want to learn the basics.

The format starts with a theoretical briefing by the Technical Director, focusing on correct sitting position, braking, acceleration and riding technique, after which the participants immediately start doing a series of exercises in the paddock.

Subsequent track practice is divided into five sessions, the first of which is a reconnaissance lap to familiarize yourself with the track by riding one of the models under consideration by the DRE Road.

The next four sessions will instead be run with the Panigale V2, the ideal Ducati for a track debut. A specialist instructor will provide advice before each shift, followed by a special debriefing at the end of each shift.

The DRE Racetrack remains the benchmark for those who already have track riding experience, but want to hone their skills and experience the thrill of driving a Ducati on the circuits where the MotoGP World Championship is held.

Education, fun and adrenaline come together in different courses depending on the level of experience: Track Evo, Track Evo2 and Track Master. The Ducati Panigale family is the star of this format, with the Panigale V2 for the Track Evo courses, the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary for the Track Evo2 courses and the Panigale V4 S for the Track Master.

In particular, the Track Master re-proposes its winning formula (which relies on expert riders in the role of instructors and on the use of Action Cams and DDA data collection), to which it adds a major new feature, namely the reduction of the ratio to two students per instructor, to provide even more complete and dedicated support to participants.

Within the DRE Racetrack there are also “One to One” courses, which are aimed at people looking for an exclusive driving experience from every point of view. A direct relationship with the instructor, an individual position in the box, Open Pit access and a final debriefing all guarantee a truly professional experience in a day lived entirely in the name of one’s passion for the circuit. You can choose from 3 variants: with a Panigale V4 SP2, a 240.5 hp Panigale V4 R or with a Superleggera V4.

The three dates on the Modena circuit with DRE Road and DRE Rookie have also been confirmed for the 2023 season. DRE Road is the driving course designed and developed for motorcyclists who want to improve their riding level with the support of DRE instructors, but also for anyone who wants to test the technological equipment of the numerous models in the Ducati range available in this format (including some of the highly anticipated novelties of 2023, such as the Multistrada V4 Rally, Diavel V4 and the “Next-Gen Freedom” Ducati Scrambler ).

The DRE Rookie is exclusively for young motorcyclists aged 18 to 24 with an A2 license riding depowered motorcycles, with an advanced educational program aimed at teaching riding techniques that can help participants express their potential as riders.

Finally, DRE Adventure is the experience designed for adventure touring enthusiasts who want to improve their on- and off-road riding skills and have fun riding the Multistrada V4 and DesertX, the bikes in the Ducati range best suited to go off the beaten track.

The program includes two days in the fascinating Tuscan hills at the spectacular site of Nipozzano Castle, during which different techniques are taught through intensive riding sessions. For 2023, the available fleet of engines has been expanded with the new Multistrada V4 Rally.

Since this year, the Ducati Riding Experience package also includes trips organized by DRE Travel Adventures, which are prepared in detail to “intrigue, amuse and excite motorcyclists.” DesertX Expedition, Dream Tour and Multistrada Expedition were huge successes this year according to Ducati and have been confirmed for 2023.

The DesertX Expedition aims to provide expert riders with a truly unique and exciting adventure on the saddle of a Ducati motorcycle designed to tackle even the most demanding off-road terrain. 5 days of pure off-road adrenaline among the wonders of Northeast Sardinia, in the company of professional riders who follow the participants down to the smallest detail.

The Dream Tour, on the other hand, takes the participants on a “dream journey” departing from Borgo Panigale with an organized visit to the Ducati Museum and the Ducati production factory. After full immersion in the company that won all the world titles in MotoGP and WorldSBK in 2022, the participants will set off for a three-day tour through the landscapes of the Tuscan-Emilian hills, combining the pleasure of motorcycle travel with good food and the discovery of the territory.

Finally, the Multistrada expedition includes a program spread over 6 days and 5 nights to experience the pleasure of two wheels and the charm of nature. Reserved for only 10 participants, it winds along a breathtaking 1500 km route that crosses Italy and France, touching several points of cultural and landscape interest: the famous Cesana-Sestriere, the Colle del Sommeiller, the Gorges du Verdon and the Côte d’ Azure .
