how loud???

Everyone has their own Christmas tradition, so the American tuner Hennessey has its annual ‘Christmas Tree Run’. In doing so, the Americans go to a long straight test track with one of their creations topped with a Christmas tree. The faster the better. It’s been a great year in that regard, as Hennessey broke his own unofficial record this year with a refurbished Ford Mustang GT500. And that wasn’t wrong.
To get straight to the point: 309 kilometers per hour. That’s how fast the Hennessey Venom 1000 went, a Ford Mustang GT500 tuned by the tuner with – you guessed it – 1,000 hp. This makes the Christmas tree-with-lights on the roof the fastest of 2022. Every year the Texians tie a Christmas tree to one of their most potent creations and this year it was the subtly tackled Venom 1000. Subtle, because Hennessey proved recently that it can be a bit crazier with the Venom 1200.
The Venom 1000 is a slightly less heavily tuned variant, but that was not allowed to spoil the fun. The 309 km / h that the car with a lit Christmas tree on the roof reached is good for an unofficial new record. Never before has Hennessey reached such a high speed while performing his tradition. The previous records were 295 km/h (2021), 291 km/h (2019) and 280 km/h (2017). Those were established by an Audi RS6, Jeep Trackhawk and Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody respectively. All with Hennessey tuning, of course. What will they arrive with next year?
