Already a record year for Kia in Europe

The year is not over yet, but Kia can already look back on a record year. Up to and including November, the Korean brand saw its market share in Europe increase to 5 percent, compared to 4.3 last year.

Also in absolute numbers there is already a profit compared to 2021. Then 502,677 units left the European showrooms throughout the year, now there are already 509,193 in 11 months. Compared to the first 11 months of 2021, Kia speaks of an increase of 8.2 percent. Special, especially because the total sales figures of all brands together have fallen sharply in the same period.

There is also good news for Kia for the Netherlands. The brand is heading for a number 1 position, which is traditionally reserved for Volkswagen. With 27,772 units sold, Kia has a comfortable lead over the German competitor, which according to our figures has so far provided 23,030 cars with yellow license plates.
