Volkswagen is expanding its delivery range for the T-Cross, Taigo and T-Roc with three new entry-level models. They reintroduce the equipment level without a name, which was previously also available on the three models. However, the standard equipment for those variants has been revised: from now on the cars are equipped with, among other things, adaptive cruise control, infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and lane assist. The new starting prices are €29,490, €28,890 and €31,990 respectively.
Volkswagen reintroduces the nameless trim level for its T-Cross, Taigo and T-Roc. That level was previously available on the three models, but disappeared from the price lists some time ago. Now they are back in a revised form. Volkswagen logically positions the versions without a name below the Life versions, which until recently were considered entry-level models.
The new entry level is pretty much the same in terms of equipment for all three models. For the T-Cross, Taigo and T-Roc, adaptive cruise control, lane assist and an infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto are standard equipment. Two of the three models, the T-Roc and Taigo, now always have LED headlights. Volkswagen is also reintroducing hubcaps on the three crossovers, because the Life version always gets light metal. In addition to the aforementioned, always present items, the cars are also equipped with non-automatic air conditioning, heated side mirrors and a digital instrument panel.
Only the T-Cross does not always have LED headlights. This gray color is the only free option for all three models.
Specifications and level starting prices
The T-Roc delivery range starts with a 110 hp version of the 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder coupled to a six-speed manual transmission. For the other two, that is a 95 hp version of that engine with a five-speed gearbox. The three loafers can be ordered immediately for the starting prices that you will find below. These are up to €2,200 lower than was the case today, because the current amounts for the Life versions were still the starting prices: €31,140 for the T-Cross, €30,540 for the Taigo and €34,190 for the T-Roc . Please note: the Life does have a richer equipment. The new starting prices are as follows:
Fashion model | Engine and transmission | New starting price |
Volkswagen T Cross | 1.0 TSI (95 hp) five-speed manual transmission | €29,490 |
Volkswagen Taigo | 1.0 TSI (95 hp) five-speed manual transmission | €28,890 |
Volkswagen T-Roc | 1.0 TSI (110 hp) six-speed manual gearbox | €31,990 |
