Favorable direction
Last year, charging rates shot up at numerous fast chargers, including Fastned. But prices dropped again at the end of 2022 and Fastned is now making price reductions again.
The high energy costs of last year have also been felt by EV drivers with fast chargers. For example, the price for a kWh at Fastned rose to €0.83. In November that dropped to €0.74 and is now decreasing somewhat. It’s not much, but every little bit helps: if you don’t have a subscription, you pay €0.72 per kWh from today. It is therefore still somewhat more expensive than before the increase last September. As of September, prices went from €0.68 to €0.83 per kWh. A discount of 30 percent applies to subscription holders who pay €11.99 monthly. So they have now lost about €0.50 per kWh.
There is a chance that prices will change again soon. On 1 August, Fastned announced that it would review its rates every month due to the turbulent energy market. It is hoped for EV drivers that the current trend will continue. Last year’s lowest rate was in July, when the standard rate came to €0.62.
