The Porsche Taycan has been with us for four years later this year, which means that extensive thought has already been given to a facelifted variant in Stuttgart. That renewed Porsche Taycan can be seen pretty well in these photos.
Porsche’s first fully electric car made its public debut in September 2019. Autoland had already been able to get used to the design of the electric Porsche for several years, because Porsche already looked ahead to the Taycan with the Mission E in 2015. That Taycan is now three and a half years old, which means that the electric GT is due for a refresh. We have already presented you with a packed version of the packed Taycan twice, although twice it was a reportedly more than 1,000 hp new top version, complete with a fierce rear wing. Now we have the renewed Porsche Taycan in a more modest outfit.
The new headlights are flatter and now extend into the corners.
What Porsche has in store for the Taycan on a technical level is still a mystery. It is already quite clear what the car can expect in terms of appearance. Porsche gives the Taycan – and the Taycan Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo – new headlights, among other things. The new ones are flatter and, unlike the current ones, run completely towards the center of the car. It remains to be seen whether the vertical slots that currently optically dive down from the headlights into the bumper will return. It is in any case clear that Porsche is giving the Taycan new bumpers, given the stickers on this test model.
Since the Dutch market introduction of the Porsche Taycan, almost 1,800 units have been registered in our country. In 2022, 720 copies were registered and in 2021 and 2020 there were 631 and 436 units consecutively. Just like the current model, the facelifted Taycan will again be available in various power variants and with battery packs in different sizes.
