The Tesla Model S is available as a 1,020 hp Plaid and the Porsche Taycan in its strongest form doesn’t even come close. Not yet. The Porsche Taycan will have a version with more than 1,000 hp and it is that absolute top Taycan that can be seen almost without stickers on these spy plates.

The Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S are competitors of each other, but from a purely power perspective, the stretched low EV from Stuttgart cannot match the Model S. As Plaid, the Tesla Model S produces no less than 1,020 hp, while the strongest Porsche Taycan – the Turbo S – produces up to 761 hp. Certainly not a power to be ashamed of, but in a circle birthday party ‘more than a thousand hp’ sounds slightly different from ‘761 hp’. Porsche does not leave the life of the Model S Plaid untouched for long, as it also comes with a powerful and more than 1,000 hp variant of the Taycan. It is called the possible Taycan GT and is now almost complete without any stickers visible.

Will the Porsche Taycan ‘GT’ have completely different headlights than the existing Taycans? No. The Taycan GT that can be seen in these photos on and around the Nürburgring is also the facelifted Taycan with which its arrival coincides. You can recognize the updated Taycan in particular by its new, flatter headlights. You can easily pick out this absolute top version among the updated Taycans. It has under bumper work with extra openings and grilles. It is equipped with the necessary lips and circles all around and has a large and fixed rear spoiler and apparently a smaller fixed one.

What exactly does the drivetrain of the Tayan GT look like? That is still the question. In any case, it could well be that Porsche gives the über-Taycan three electric motors instead of two or a single one. Undoubtedly, the most powerful Taycan will have a modified steering system, a steering system tailored to rougher steering sessions and a specifically tuned suspension.

Porsche Taycan in the Netherlands

The Porsche Taycan was unveiled four years ago during the IAA, which was then held in Frankfurt. The first Taycans hit the road in the Netherlands in 2020 and since then 2,298 units have been registered. This means that there are already more Taycans driving around in the Netherlands than Boxsters, Caymans or 718 Boxsters and Caymans. This year, 511 Porsche Taycans have already been registered in the Netherlands, more than 100 more than Porsche’s number two in the Netherlands: the Cayenne.
