Abbot presents the renewed e-Transporter

The Volkswagen Transporter was facelifted last year and that means that Abbot also had to make minor changes to his electric variant of that van: the e-Transporter.

Abt does more than develop spoilers, splitters, diffuser and bumpers for Volkswagen Group models. A special department of Abt, called Abt E-Line, is busy with the development of electric variants of already existing models of the German group. Recently, Abbot presented the e-Caddy and now the Germans are lifting the updated version of the e-Transporter onto the digital stage.

The e-Transporter has a 37.3 kWh battery pack with a net capacity of 32.5 kWh. Depending on the chosen body variant, the e-Transporter thus reaches 138 kilometers (WLTP). The electric motor, which drives the front wheels, is 113 hp and 200 Nm strong. Abt supplies the e-Transporter in various designs. For example, both short and extended e-Transporters are available. Good news: not only the order versions of the Transporter can be purchased with an electric power train, but the Kombi or Caravelle versions are also available with the EV heart. The battery pack can be charged in 5.5 hours on a 7.2 kW charger. On a fast charger, the package can be ‘full’ in about 45 minutes to a capacity of 80 percent.
