If you travel a lot and meet online with people on the other side of the planet, you like to keep track of the local time there. By adding multiple clocks to your taskbar, you can take different time zones into account in Windows 10, without installing additional software.
Date and time
There are two solutions: the first places additional clocks in the system tray, the second creates a tile with world clocks. Windows shows only one clock in the taskbar and in the drop-down menu for the default settings Date and time. Usually, that information is automatically set based on your location information.
If you have an extra clock on the Windowstaskbar, right-click on the taskbar clock and choose the option Adjust date and time. This will open the window Date and time. Go down in this window and you will see the link Add clocks for different time zones at the bottom of the page.
Taskbar time
When you click on that link, the old Win32 date and time settings window opens. Select the check box Display this clock in and select the time zone you want to add. You can add up to two extra clocks here. Give each additional clock a display name. click on OK to confirm the settings.
You only see one clock at a time in the normal user interface, but if you hover the mouse pointer over the clock, the extra times will appear. And if you click on the taskbar clock, you will see the new times under local time.
Tile time
You can also download the app Alarms and clock in Windows 10. Here you switch to the tab Clock. To add another time zone to the Windows start menu, first click the plus sign and then type the name of the location in the search box. Right-click on this new location and select the command Pin to start screen. Windows asks again if it can pin the tile to Start. In principle, this clock will be immediately visible in the start menu. If not, you can drag the tile to the desired position and adjust the size to your personal preference if necessary.
