Recently, all the Steam Link App finally introduced to iOS. This allows you to stream games over your WiFi network from your PC to your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.
This makes it possible to play large PC games on other devices as well. The brand new Steam Chat app brings the rich chat feature of the desktop version of Steam to your iPhone. In the app you will find your friends list and you can start a chat by simply tapping another user.

The notifications you receive from the chat can also be personalised. It is possible to adjust the type of notification you receive per friend, group conversation or chat channel.

Where you first had to wait until you could crawl behind your screen, you can now gather friends on the go from your iPhone to play games.

For that reason, it is a logical choice that Valve releases Steam Chat as a separate app, and has not accommodated the function in Steam Link. For the users who want to stream games via Steam Link to their iOS devices, switching between these apps is easily arranged.
