All prices new Peugeot 408: from €40,500

In September, Peugeot revealed the first price of the new 408. That was certainly not tender with €51,000, but it was not about a regular version, but about the special and limited to 50 pieces First Edition with the 225 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain. AutoWeek can now tell you all the prices of the Peugeot 408, because it will also be available in regular versions and with milder powertrains.

The Peugeot 408 has a starting price of €40,500 in the Netherlands. For that amount you get the Peugeot 408 with 130 hp 1.2 PureTech three-cylinder petrol engine and eight-speed automatic transmission. For that amount, the Peugeot 408 is equipped as an Allure. The 408 with this powertrain is also available as an Allure Pack and as a sportier GT and will cost €42,500 and €45,200 in succession.

Higher on the menu is the Peugeot 408 with the 180 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain. This 408 Hybrid 180 is also available as Allure, Allure Pack and GT. As an Allure, it costs €45,000. In this case you pay €47,000 and €49,700 for the Allure Pack and GT.

The most powerful powertrain that Peugeot hangs in the 408 is the Hybrid 225, called plug-in hybrid powertrain with 225 hp. It is not only available in the limited First Edition, but can now also be combined with regular flavors. It is not available as Allure, but as Allure Pack and GT. The Peugeot 408 Hybrid 225 costs €48,500 as an Allure Pack and changes hands as a GT from €51,200. Both the 408 Hybrid 180 and Hybrid 225 have a 12.4 kWh battery on which you should be able to drive about 60 kilometers electrically.
