From electric A110 to E-segmenter
From 2026, Alpine will only sell electric cars. Within the next four years you can walk into Alpine’s showroom and admire a fully electric A110. There are more electric models from Alpine in the barrel. Five pieces to be exact.
It has been known for a while that Alpine does not spring from electro dance either. After all, the brand previously announced the arrival of an electric successor to the A110, an electric SUV-like (GT-X) and a sporty version of the upcoming electric incarnation of the Renault 5. That Alpine taking electrical future seriously is only logical. The brand is already making the promise that it will only sell electric cars from 2026.
In Alpine’s future portfolio you will soon find five electric models. So not only an electric A110 successor, a variant of the Renault 5 and an electric crossover in the middle segment that will be called GT-X, but also models in the D and E segment. Alpine reports that the former three will also come first, but that it will also add a D and E-segmenter to its delivery range afterwards. It is not yet known in what form those higher-ranking models will be cast, although in 2022 we can only expect that at least one of those two newcomers will become an SUV-like.
With its unprecedentedly broad line-up for Alpine, the brand does not only want to serve the European market. Alpine foresees a future in which ‘only’ 50 percent of the growth is due to the European market. The remaining 50 percent must come from other parts of the world. Alpine says it may be spreading its wings to the North American and Chinese markets.
