Take a video screenshot of your smartphone using the tool built into the Android 11 update.
Until now, Android smartphone users who wanted to perform a screen recording of their device had two solutions: opt for a third-party application downloaded from the Google Play Store, or use the option integrated in the present manufacturer overlay. on their Android smartphone, when offered.
With Android 11, things change since Google has decided to integrate a screen video recording tool directly into its OS. However, you have to perform some manipulation to find and execute it.
1. Display the quick configuration window
From the main page of your Android 11 smartphone, deploy the Android quick configuration pane by swiping down from the top of your screen. Swipe down again to open it in its entirety. Then tap the pencil icon to change the display.

2. Customize the quick configuration panel
When the control panel is in edit mode, you can see in the black area all the quickly activatable / deactivatable functions already activated on your smartphone. The gray area displays the icons that can be added.
Locate the Screen Recording icon, and drag it into the black area to add it to Android’s quick launch icons. Then close these settings.

3. Start recording the screen
When the opportunity to record your screen presents itself, unfold the entire Quick Setup window, scroll through the icons as needed, and tap the Record icon on the Start Screen.
The screen recording setup window should then appear. You can, if you wish, activate the recording of audio contents. Press the arrow to expand the associated menu. You can then record audio captured by the device’s microphone, sounds from the device such as music, ringtones, and even calls, or both at the same time.

It will also be possible to display the points touched on the screen, a function which will prove to be practical in the context of a video recording made for a tutorial or for assistance to a loved one. Once you have chosen your preferences, press Start to start recording the screen in video.

A small round icon indicating that screen recording is in progress should appear in the status bar at the top of the screen. To stop recording, pull out the notifications panel and tap the screen recording notification displayed in red.
The generated video file will then be automatically saved in the camera roll of your smartphone.
