In computing, the cache memory is a storage space used to temporarily store certain files so that this data is accessible immediately to reduce the loading time of applications.
In the long run, accumulating this data in the cache can take up a lot of space on your device’s memory. From time to time cleaning the data stored in the cache of the various apps installed on your device will not only free up space on your device’s storage, but also fix some bugs and other crashes.
1. Open Storage Settings
Open Android Settings, go to the Storage menu and enter the section dedicated to Other applications.
2. Clear the application cache
All the apps installed on your device are listed. Next to each of them, Android indicates the amount of space used.
Enter the detailed information of an application, and locate the row showing the amount of data used by the cache. Then press the Clear cache button to delete the data it contains and free up as much memory on your device’s storage space.
