Everyone has an annoying or even irritating conversation on WhatsApp now and then. But how can you get out of it the fastest? We give you three ways!
Annoying conversation on WhatsApp? Here’s how to get out of it the fastest
Just when you’re busy, you suddenly get a load of messages on WhatsApp from your friends. You can of course ignore them, but that’s not nice either. Usually it’s better to send a response fairly quickly.
But if it turns out not to be that important, how do you get rid of it as quickly as possible? We tell you three ways to end an (annoying) chat conversation on WhatsApp as quickly as possible.
The easy way
When you want to end a conversation, you can respond with an (appropriate) emoji. For example, send a thumbs down if someone asks you to talk for a moment. Or send a thumbs up if they ask if you’ll be home tonight.
In WhatsApp you can then send an emoji in a new message, but it is also possible to send an emoji reaction. You do this by holding your finger on the message and then choosing one of the emojis shown.
The polite way
To end an (annoying) WhatsApp conversation, the polite way is often the best choice. Excuse yourself and say that you don’t have time right now. Or just indicate why you can’t talk at the moment.
The blunt (but very effective) way
The last way to stop an annoying conversation on WhatsApp is best reserved for spam messages or people you really don’t like. By blocking the person in the conversation, they will no longer be able to send messages and the conversation on WhatsApp will stop immediately.
To block someone, tap the person’s name at the top of the conversation, then scroll down and select ‘Block
