Pages, Numbers and Keynote; Apple’s iWork apps have been supplemented with a large list of new functions. These are the most important.
Choose from over 500 iWork shapes
When Apple releases an update to Pages, you can count on Numbers and Keynote to be there too. It’s no different today, with three updates that have one thing in common: standard shapes.
In the iWork apps you can now use more than 500 shapes to place in presentations, graphs and texts. From food to symbols, animals and nature; numerous categories are available to brighten up your document.
- Open a document in Pages, Numbers or Keynote;
- Tap the plus sign at the top right of the screen;
- Select the icon with the square and the circle in the menu bar;
- Scroll through the categories and choose the shape you want to use.
Then the image is placed in your document. Tap it to move or resize it. All iWork apps can also reply to comments and start a conversation thread. Handy if you are collaborating with several people on a project, and can respond to feedback directly from the document.
Export as ePub
Also new is the ability to export Pages documents as epub files. Keynotes can now be reordered more easily, while Numbers gets a handy new Print view. The updates for the iWork apps are now available for the iPhone, iPad and Mac. Earlier this year, Apple made all iWork apps free for everyone. This makes it an indispensable collection of apps if you want to be productive on your iDevice.
