Apple makes iWork apps smarter and more comprehensive with update

Apple has released new versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote. This makes the productivity apps, which can be used on every iOS and macOS device, a little better.

Major iWork update available

These are the iOS and macOS versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote, Apple’s ‘versions’ of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The most important improvement for all apps is that it is now possible to directly record audio, edit it and play it within the app. Audio files can be added to documents, spreadsheets and presentations. You can also use the Apple Pencil, the smart pen that works with the iPad (2018), for example, to browse through the settings of iWork apps and select items.

In addition, the Smart Annotation feature is being expanded. This feature allows you to add comments and make adjustments to a document or presentation while other people are also editing it. This is useful for teachers, for example, who can watch and give feedback on homework while students are working on it.

Finally, there are a lot of smaller improvements that differ per app. This includes new options to adjust the format of files. The updates for Pages, Keynote and Numbers can be downloaded for free on both iOS and macOS from the (Mac) App Store. Or download them from the buttons below.
