By listening to Apple Podcasts through your browser, it no longer matters which device you do so on.
Apple Podcasts available through your browser
Apple Podcasts is now available not only as an app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, but also via your browser. Just go to https://podcasts.apple.com/nl/ to get started. All popular browsers like Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox are supported and it works from an Android phone or a Windows computer.
This is the first time that Apple Podcasts users can access the service via their PC. Previously, this was only possible using the Podcasts app on a PC or laptop running macOS. The addition of browser support makes Apple Podcasts more attractive to anyone who has an iPhone, for example, but also a Windows laptop. Now, in addition to using the Podcasts app on their iPhone, they can also access it via their Windows computer.
Synchronization with Apple ID
Apple Podcasts on the browser automatically syncs with your Apple account, so you can continue listening to episodes of your favorite podcasts in your queue, no matter what device you’re using.
You can also find and follow new shows, and browse the full catalog of millions of shows and top charts as usual. Apple Podcasts also offers access to any premium paid podcast subscriptions you have through its website, and you can purchase new subscriptions as well. Note that if you use the browser on your iPhone or iPad, you will automatically be redirected to the Podcasts app.
The addition of website support means that Apple Podcasts now comes on par with Apple’s other content services. This allows you to Apple Music (https://music.apple.com/nl/) and Apple TV+ (https://tv.apple.com/nl/) via the browser for a long time. And since last month, this has also been possible with Apple Maps (https://maps.apple.com/nl/).
