Last year, the Apple Watch Ultra only got a new color, but the successor was nowhere to be seen. We will probably get a new version of the best Apple smartwatch this year. But when can you actually buy the Apple Watch Ultra 3?

The next Apple Watch Ultra will probably appear together with the new iPhone (17). If we look back at previous releases of the Apple Watch Ultra, we arrive at this list of the different days:

• Apple Watch Ultra: Release September 7, 2022 (Wednesday);
• Apple Watch Ultra 2: Released September 12, 2023 (Tuesday);
• Apple Watch Ultra 2 (Black): Released September 10, 2024 (Tuesday).

After the release of the first Apple Watch Ultra, the second version of the premium watch followed a year later. The following year, Apple only released a new color, but no real successor. Most likely, a new version will be released this year.

Keeping the above releases in mind, we expect Apple’s next keynote on September 9 (which is a Tuesday). This is also when we expect the next iPhone. In addition to the iPhone, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will also be released. It usually takes another week before you can buy the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
