Enjoy photos and videos with Clips
Photo and video editing app Clips is the newest app from Apple in the App Store. With Clips, Apple copes with Snapchat, Instagram and Prisma, among others. The idea is that you can take photos and videos or pick them from your library and spruce them up. You can then share the result via iMessage, or on social platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Clips is therefore not a standalone social platform.
There are several ways to spice up your images. For example, you can place large emoji, animated elements and text. Your spoken text can even be automatically transcribed. This doesn’t work perfectly, but luckily you get the chance to edit words. The app is not very clear. Especially for people who rarely use such an app, the interface can be confusing. However, once you have figured it out, you can do a lot with the app.
And what is a photo and video editing app without filters? Of course, Clips also offers the possibility to beautify your images with an extra layer. Not only through the filters you already know from the Camera app, but also with new filters that resemble the filters from the Prisma app. For example, you can change your head into a comic book character. Apple will constantly update the app with new content, so expect more filters and animated elements for your images in the future, among other things.

Clips is available for free in the App Store at the link below. You need 49.3MB of free space to use the app. You must be running at least iOS 10.3, so make sure your iPhone or iPad is fully up-to-date.
