Aprilia celebrates MotoAmerica Twins Cup dominance with RS 660 Limited Edition

Last season the MotoAmerica Twins Cup was dominated by the brand new RS 660. Reason for the Italians to celebrate in an appropriate way with this very beautiful RS 660 Limited Edition, of which only 1500 are made.

Aprilia celebrates MotoAmerica Twins Cup dominance with RS 660 Limited Edition

They are very proud at Aprilia to dominate the MotoAmerica Twins Cup championship from scratch with the RS 660, the racing class for two-cylinder motorcycles between 600cc and 800cc, where until the arrival of the RS 660 by the Suzuki SV650 was called out of service.

Now that will not have come as a surprise to anyone, with a 105 hp RS 660 so strong from the factory, competing with 70 hp bikes as the SV650 is like taking part in a cart race with a Formula 1 car. Out of 13 races, Aprilia took the win 10 times.

To celebrate this victory, Aprilia has now launched a special edition RS 660 inspired by the stars and stripes of the American flag.

The color scheme is derived from the special graphics with which Twins Cup winner Kaleb De Keyrel drove the last race of the Aprilia RS 660 Trophy at Vallelunga, to which he had been invited as a reward for the Twins Cup championship.

In addition to the particularly beautiful color scheme, Aprilia has made some minor adjustments to the RS 660 Limited Edition. The passenger seat has made way for a nice cover (will still be supplied separately, if you have to take someone with you), the standard window has been replaced by a higher copy where you can better crawl behind on the straight.

Last but not least, Aprilia has also provided the software that makes it possible to configure the quickshifter in upside-down mode, i.e. first gear up and the rest down. There is a badge on the tank with the unique number of the bicycle, so that everyone can see that you are riding a unique bicycle.
