Kawasaki’s Vulcan S has been the best-selling Cruiser in the Netherlands from the start, with the Honda Rebel as its only competitor, but since this year it has a serious competitor from its own home: the Eliminator 500. An Arrow rear silencer is now available for Kawasaki’s new entry-level cruiser.
It was one of the surprises at last year’s EICMA in Milan, the new Eliminator 500 with which Kawasaki hopes to mow the grass from under the feet of Honda’s Rebel 500. And judging by the sales figures, it was not a bad move by Team Green: it is currently the second best-selling Cruiser, after the Vulcan S.
According to Kawasaki, factors such as the smooth 451cc parallel twin engine, very low ready-to-ride weight, the achievable seat height of 735mm and the modern design have contributed to this success.
To complete the modern design, an Arrow Sport exhaust is now available. This matt black slip-on muffler is lighter than the standard muffler and gives a nice deep sound. It is also equipped with a carbon heat shield and ECE type approval for Euro5+.
