Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and Vantage in Bond style

Aston Martin has sent the DBS Superleggera and V8 Vantage past Q for a nice James Bond sauce. The 007 Editions look forward to the new Bond film, ‘No Time to Die’, as well as back to the film ‘The Living Daylights’.

The upcoming Bond film ‘No Time to Die’ is already the 25th film in the well-known series about agent 007 and of course it should be discussed extensively. Bond is of course an avid Aston Martin driver and that is certainly the case in the next film. It contains no less than four Astons, the DB5, the original V8 (such as from the movie The Living Daylights from 1987), the DBS Superleggera and the Valhalla. The DBS Superleggera we see here is mainly a preview of the new car from Bond, the Vantage is a tribute to the V8 from 1987.

The fact that the Vantage goes back to history is first and foremost clearly visible in the skis on the roof. In the film from 33 years ago, Bond drove his V8 Vantage in a chase scene through the snow with yellow skis on both sides of the car. Furthermore, the yellow accents around are a reference to these skis, on the diffuser it refers to the rocket propulsion of the old Bond car. In the center tunnel we see a control panel with the gadgets of the movie car from 1987, such as the rocket engine, lasers and therefore also the ski system. To make it all a bit more special, Q By Aston Martin has also equipped the Vantage with a completely new grille and of course 007 logos are everywhere.

The DBS Superleggera is, as said, a car where in this case one does not look back so much, but rather looks ahead to the upcoming Bond film. So there is a good chance that we will see Bond at work in a reasonably comparable DBS Superleggera in the film that is due to be released in November. The car looks quite dark compared to previous modern Bond-Astons, with Ceramic Gray as the base color and the black carbon fiber accents. The interior is also a dark affair, despite the red stitching. All in all it looks in any case sleek and here too various 007 logos leave no doubt that you are dealing with a Bond car here.

Only 25 of the DBS Superleggera 007 Edition will be made, to keep it nice and exclusive. One for each Bond movie. In this version, the DBS has to cost a converted € 308,601 (UK price). The Vantage does not go away as 007 Edition for less than € 178,031.
