Astro Mail does something that other mail services will undoubtedly do in a few years’ time: help you update your mail with the help of a chatbot. That starts immediately when you start the app. In a chat window, the bot asks what your email address is and you add it to Astro step by step.
After the Astrobot has analyzed your emails, the usefulness of Astro becomes immediately clear. The app immediately divides your mails into two categories: Priority and Other. In the style of Google’s Inbox app, in Priority you will only encounter emails that immediately require your attention.
Astro needs some time
Astro needs some time to get to know your email usage, so that the chatbot at some point knows which messages are more important than others. In addition, the bot (which is prominently displayed at the bottom left of the screen) has many other functions that make Astro unique. This way you can quickly search your mailbox for specific terms. Or automatically put all messages older than a month in an archive.
Since Astro also has a Mac app, you can easily use the service at home or on the go. Astrobot can handle Gmail, so you can log in quickly without creating a separate account. The only thing missing at the moment is support for the Dutch language. Fortunately, the app already has such a clear and fine design that Astro is worthwhile even without a Dutch language knot.
