Audi 100 Avant (1987) – Into the Wild

This Audi 100 has taken no less than 33 years to come this way, but it does get a nice spot in In het Wild right away!

It certainly no longer happens to us every day that we come face to face with an Audi 100, because even those of the penultimate generation have already become quite rare. We really appreciate the fact that Techzle reader Koen Smit took a number of photos of this copy. The owner saw it happen and was kind enough to show the Audi inside as well. Both the exterior and the interior still look very neat.

‘What comes from afar is tasty’, they sometimes say. This also applies to the 100, who spent most of their life outside our borders. It was not until two months ago that the car was registered in the Netherlands. Not only looks will have played a decisive role in the import, but undoubtedly also the engine. This 100 has the 2.2-liter five-cylinder in its long nose. There is a catalytic converter in this car, so the block delivers 115 hp in this case instead of the 138 hp on which the 2.2 without a catalyst came out. In this copy, it is also linked to a four-speed automatic transmission, a ride in this 100 is therefore especially a nice experience if you are not necessarily in a hurry.

Anyway, you don’t drive such a car to be the fastest. Given its condition, rarity and of course the very striking ass of this Avant, the owner will probably attract quite a bit of attention with it.
