Nice and active

A family of three unexpectedly becomes a family of four. Audi would initially present three concept cars from the ‘Sphere’ family, but is now announcing the arrival of a fourth: the Activsphere.
Earlier this year, Audi introduced the Urbansphere Concept, the third and last of three Sphere study models after the Skysphere and Grandsphere. With these Sphere future visions, Audi gives its vision of a future in which autonomous electric transport is central, so the brand paid a lot of attention to the experience in the cars. The Sphere family is getting a new member. Audi reports that it will pull the curtain from the Activsphere on January 26.
Where the Skysphere was an electric coupé and convertible in one, the Grandsphere a top limousine and the Urbansphere an MPV and SUV-like, the Activsphere is something completely different. Audi describes the model as an ‘electric crossover coupe’. It does not seem to be a Huracán Sterrato-like, but ‘just’ an SUV-like model with a steeply sloping roofline. Audi is already releasing a top view of the Activsphere. That plate makes it clear that the car will have four doors. In addition, we see a glass roof with a part to attach skis. Nice and active, that Activsphere.

Incidentally, the windscreen that extends far into the nose, together with the glass roof, reminds us somewhat of the Audi Avus Quattro Concept from the early nineties, but that does not mean that the Activsphere will immediately resemble it.
