Audi E-tron GT kicked on its tail

Audi’s electric offensive doesn’t just include SUVs, there’s also a sleek four-door GT on the way. Whether it can also live up to its sporty appearance in the bends, Audi is trying out at the Nürburgring.

The Nürburgring could be renamed the Audi ring last week, because in addition to the new RS3, the E-tron GT was also tested there. Two cars from two completely different corners of the automotive spectrum. It is true that they are both sporty, but where the RS3 has a drumming five-cylinder, the E-tron GT draws its power from electric motors.

The E-tron GT is based on the same basis as the Porsche Taycan and that means a lot of good for the driving pleasure that this Audi should offer. You can count on the E-tron, just like the Taycan, to have a 93.4 kWh battery pack on board, so that you don’t have to recharge every now and then, despite driving hard. A range of around 450 km on a full battery seems possible to us.

If the E-tron GT stays close to the concept version not only in appearance but also in performance, we can count on a power that goes towards 600 hp and a 0-100 acceleration that takes about 3.5 seconds. beep. Versions that are slightly less than that or just go one step further, are in line with expectations. The concept car was four-wheel drive, thanks to a motor on the front and rear axles. This is of course also the case with the Taycan, so count on the E-tron GT to be basically four-wheel drive as well. The E-tron GT will enter the market next year.
