Audi has presented a new SUV that listens to the name Q5 e-tron. Although that suggests that the car has something to do with the well-known Q5, that is absolutely not the case.
Audi has now pulled the curtain on a new electric SUV, of which AutoWeek could already show you the first photos in August. It concerns the Q5 e-tron, an electric SUV that has nothing to do with the Q5. The Q5 e-tron is in fact to the Q4 e-tron what the Volkswagen ID6, sold only in China, is to the ID4.
Just like the Volkswagen ID6, this Audi Q5 e-tron is for the time being exclusively intended for the Chinese market. The SUV is 4.88 meters long and has a wheelbase of 2.97 meters. These sizes are identical to those of the ID6. It should come as no surprise that the interior of the Q5 e-tron has been transferred from its smaller electric brother, the Q4 e-tron.

The Q5 e-tron is the production version of an unnamed concept car that Audi showed during the unveiling of the A6 e-tron Concept. The electric SUV will come to the Chinese market as a 35 e-tron, 40 e-tron and 50 e-tron. The 35 variant has a 177 hp electric motor on the rear axle, the 40 e-tron a unit with 204 hp and the 50 e-tron gets two electric motors that together are good for 299 hp.
