With Audials One 2017, you can of course listen to and organize your music. But the talents of this software suite do not stop there. Thanks to the quick search and direct download possibilities from your browser, no more albums will escape you! Nor any video for that matter, since you can count on a recording tool from a web browser. Audials One 2017 also gives access to web radios, allows you to complete the information of your MP3s, display the lyrics, create a mobile ringtone from a song, make a copy of a DVD or even convert your audio files to take them to a smartphone or tablet.
1. Install the software and create your library
Go to the publisher website to download a trial version of Audials One 2017 (The full version is available on Telecharger.com), functional for Windows 7, 8 and 10. Once the software is installed, you must indicate the location of your music library. By default, the app scans the contents of the Windows Music folder. If you are using another directory or an external hard drive, click in the left pane on Media library, Music, then under the heading Export / import storage, on the Select button. Then designate the path to save the library.
2. Record a video from a browser
Audials One is able to capture video streams broadcast over the Internet. Click Record Videos, then click the Video Record drop-down list. Select a source (Netflix, Pluzz, MyTF1Video, YouTube, Dailymotion, etc.) and start the capture.
3. Record songs from a web browser
You can also capture audio content streamed on Deezer or Spotify for example. To do this, click in the left pane on Record music, then on the Record audio button. Choose the Sound recording mode in different rooms so that each stream passing through the sound card is recorded independently. Thus, Windows system sounds will not pollute the recording of your favorite artist’s song.
4. Record Internet radio stations
Audials One also lists hundreds of internet radios. To find your way there, use the search engine and the thematic rankings (by country, genre, artists). The application allows to record several programs simultaneously. Enough to compose exceptional compilations! Click in the left pane on the Radio label and select a station. Activate the Save command. Two recording modes are available: continuous (the broadcast will result in a single file) or by cutting the pieces broadcast on the air.
5. Search the Internet for music
Audials One is exploring the web to help you discover new artists and expand your musical horizons. In the left pane of the app, under Music and More, click Search and enter the name of a band or the title of a song. The results are displayed in a very graphic form.
6. Complete the ID3 tags of the songs
The more titles you have, the more you need to organize. Audials One’s search engine will be faster and more relevant if you take care to identify your audio files by completing the ID3 tags. Select a song. Click the Edit link in the right pane, then click Edit Tags. Fill in the fields one by one (title, song name, year of recording, genre, etc.) To provide more details, activate the option Complete ID3 Tags and add custom fields. Save the changes by clicking Finish Editing.
7. Display the lyrics of a song
You can also attach the lyrics of the song to the audio file. Right-click on the song and choose the Open Dialog to Edit ID3 Tags command from the context menu. Perform a search on Google to retrieve the lyrics of the song. Copy these (Ctrl + C), then go back to Audials and paste the lyrics (Ctrl + V). Click on Save and validate. Start playing the song: the lyrics are displayed in the info pane.
8. Convert music to listen to it on your smartphone
Audials One 2017 includes a universal conversion tool that you can use to adapt your music files to the possibilities of your phone. Click Convert in the left pane of the app. Add the files to be processed in the list, indicate the desired output format (choose the best audio quality / file size ratio) and start the conversion.
9. Convert your DVDs to watch them on a tablet
Unlike a PC, your tablet does not have a DVD player. If you want to watch a movie or series during your train trip, you need to make a copy of the DVD. Insert the disc into the computer’s drive. Activate the DVD Rip command, then click Next. In the lower part of the screen, click on Format, expand the Convert videos to … list and select the format suitable for your equipment (MOV for an iPhone, 3GP for an older mobile, etc.) Click on OK and finally on Start copying.
10. Make a cell phone ringtone from a song
Select a song from your audio library. Right click and activate the command Edit the start and end of a part. Use the editor to keep only the passage that will be the ringtone, then click Save. Right click on the new file and export it to your Android smartphone or to iTunes. In the case of an Android phone, copy the ringtone in MP3 format to the Ringtones folder and activate it (Settings, Sounds and Notifications, Phone ringtone). If you have an iPhone, navigate to the file from iTunes, click File, Convert, Convert to AAC. Save the ringtone in the iTunes library and drop it in the Sounds folder of the navigation bar.
