August security update not yet available for Pixel phones

Google has it security bulletin published for the month of August for Pixel phones. Here you can see which vulnerabilities have been fixed specifically in the software of Pixel phones. Normally, Google immediately rolls out the security update of the relevant month to its Pixel phones, but that is not the case yet.

So it looks like the August security update for Pixels has been delayed. We hoped in the editors that this would be due to the official announcement of Android 13, but it seems that we will only see this new Android version next month.

According to 9to5Google the rollout of the update has been postponed. They discovered that the American provider Verizon has come up with an interim and unexpected update for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. One possible reason for this delay may be that Google discovered a last-minute issue that forced the rollout of the August security patch to be halted.
