Autoland is a new electric powerhouse richer. We are introduced to the Baltasar Revolt, a lightweight electric piece of automotive toy that comes from Spain.
Baltasar is a Spanish start-up that has lifted its first model onto the podium. This is the Baltasar Revolt, a car that you can roughly see as the fully electric equivalent of cars like the Lotus Elise and BAC Mono. Just like those lightweight sports enthusiasts, the Revolt also has a very low car weight. Thanks to extensive use of light materials such as carbon fiber, the Baltasar Revolt only weighs 770 kilos.
A weight of less than 800 kilos is on paper already good for a lot of automotive steering pleasure, especially when you consider that the Baltasar Revolt has a fantastic electric powertrain. According to Baltasar, named after founder Baltasar López, the Revolt with its two centrally placed electric motors is no less than 507 hp and 1,000 Nm strong. With that, he thunders to a speed of 100 km / h in 2.5 seconds. Although the appearance of the Revolt may suggest otherwise, the lightweight EV is just street-legal. Baltasar says he has fully developed all of the Revolt’s technology himself. The 700-volt battery pack to be produced by Millor Battery was also born and raised in its own development chambers, the company claims. The position of the loading opening is striking, as it is right in front of the passenger’s snuffer.
Baltasar Revolt
The Revolt is 3.95 meters long, 1.85 meters wide and only 88 centimeters high. The distance between the front and rear axle is 2.42 meters. The chassis and all body parts are made of carbon fiber and large parts of the suspension are also made of that lightweight material. According to Baltasar, the Revolt must be able to pull more than 600 WLTP kilometers from its unspecified battery pack. According to the company, you should be able to enjoy it for about 40 minutes on the circuit. The Revolt gets, among other things, a removable steering wheel and carbon fiber sports seats with six-point belts that give you an ‘F1-like seating position’. Anyone who makes a deposit of € 1,000 can already reserve the Revolt. Baltasar charges a hefty € 230,000 excluding taxes for its electric fun machine.
