The auto show of China, Auto China 2022 in Beijing, will no longer take place this year. The organization makes that known. Corona throws a spanner in the works again.
While normal life is back to normal here in Europe, China remains on top of corona outbreaks. For that reason, Auto China was postponed earlier this year until further notice. Now the organization reports according to Autonews that the party will not take place at all this year. Once again, the ‘corona situation’ in the country is the reason not to allow the Beijing auto show to take place.
It is not yet known what will happen to the previously planned car fair from April 21 to 30. It may not happen at all and we may even have to wait until 2024 before Auto China takes place again. Normally, the fair is held every other year, one time in Shanghai, the other time in Beijing. In that case, Shanghai would host again in 2024, although Beijing may still host this year’s postponed edition next year.
