Belgian Jochen Paesen can call himself the new Vice President of Kia’s Interior Design Group. This puts Paesen at the head of the design department responsible for the interiors of new models of the brand.
Belgian designer Jochen Paesen is now Vice President of Kia’s interior design department. Paesen will work directly under Karim Habib, the design chief who took office last year as Senior Vice President and head of the Kia Design Center. However, Paesen has to memorize a new address. The designer will be working in Kia’s Design Center in Namyang.
Paesen is of course no stranger to a car country. In 2002 he started his career as an Interior Designer at the Volkswagen Group where he left everything in 2006 and held the same position at the BMW Group until 2010. Until 2012, Paesen worked at BMW as Creative Director Interior Design and in the following two years the creative Belgian was allowed to call himself Project Leader Interior Design at the German group. Between 2014 and 2015, Paesen headed the interior design department at BMW i. For his current new position, Paesen worked for the Chinese NIO, where he had the text ‘Design Director Interior Design’ on his name card.
