‘Fastest car with trailer’
Bentley has set a remarkable record in the famous hill climb of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. With a large trailer full of straw, the SUV went up the hill and took the fastest time for cars with trailers.
Bentley itself frankly admits that no official records are actually kept for cars with trailers, but it has unofficially set the fastest time. A Bentley Bentayga EWB with a huge three-axle trailer behind it went up the hill in 1:21. There was also another 2.5 tons of straw in the trailer, so that makes the performance even more impressive.
The fact that there was straw in the trailer is not entirely random. According to Bentley, you could make enough biofuel to drive the Bentayga for 1,770 km. The Bentayga itself also ran on such fuel, made from ‘waste straw’. With the campaign, Bentley wants to create attention for this fuel, which according to the brand meets global standards and could therefore be sold everywhere. It would cause up to 85 percent less CO2 emissions ‘well-to-wheel’. For now we can especially enjoy special images:
