Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark is moving to… Aston Martin!

Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark is stepping down. He does this with immediate effect, but of his own accord. No wonder: Hallmark is making the switch to another illustrious British brand.

Adrian Hallmark (61) has been at the helm of Bentley since February 2018, which as a brand is part of Audi and therefore part of Volkswagen. Under Hallmark, Bentley experienced one record year after another and significant steps were taken in areas such as personalization options and electrification. Although the first fully electric production Bentley has yet to appear, Hallmark has been given a sound long-term policy by Audi-COE Döllner. The Audi CEO naturally wishes Hallmark all the best, while Hallmark thanks Bentley for the wonderful years. Bentley will announce who will be the new CEO at a later stage.

Why Hallmark is leaving became clear very shortly after the farewell message appeared. As of October 1, Adrian Hallmark will become the CEO of another illustrious British brand: Aston Martin. Current CEO Amedeo Felisa will then have to make way. Felisa has only been in that post for a short time: his arrival was announced in 2022. With Hallmark, Aston Martin gains a serious amount of experience in managing luxury brands. Hallmark, in turn, ends up in a completely different nest than he is used to. Instead of having to deal with the demands made by the even higher management at Volkswagen, at Aston Martin he mainly has to deal with the man who is the ‘Executive Chairman’ and (largely) owner of that brand: the Canadian entrepreneur Lawrence Stroll.
