BMW 2-series Coupé as 230i and Active Tourer as 223i xDrive

More pricing news related to BMW. The 2-series Coupé will get a petrol version and the 2-series Active Tourer is now also available with four-wheel drive. AutoWeek has the prices of the 2-series Coupé 230i and 2-series Active Tourer 223i xDrive.

The 2-series Coupé is a stubborn model within the 2-series family. In contrast to the 2-series Gran Coupé and 2-series Active Tourer, the coupé is a rear-wheel drive with a very different basis than the pair developed as front-wheel drives. The 2-series Coupé was already available as a 190 hp 220d diesel, with two petrol engines: the 184 hp 220i and the M240i with 374 hp. The gap between them is filled with the 230i.

BMW’s 2-series Coupé as a 230i has a 245 hp and 400 Nm strong 2.0 four-cylinder under the hood. With that machine, the 230i Coupé has a speed of 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. This makes it considerably faster than the 220i, which takes 7.5 seconds for the o-100 sprint. The M240i, of course, remains his superior, in that version you shoot to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. Like the other variants, the 230i Coupé is always equipped with an automatic transmission. BMW charges an asking price of €52,713. The 220i and M240i cost respectively €48,123 and €77,376.

2 Series Active Tourer

There is also a new version for the most practical variant of the 2-series family: the 2-series Active Tourer. BMW’s brand new MPV gets its first four-wheel drive version. The 223i Active Tourer is now also available with xDrive drive. BMW is asking €49,782 for the 223i xDrive Active Tourer. The front-wheel drive 223i costs €45,855. Under the hood is a 204 hp 2.0 four-cylinder engine that temporarily has an extra 19 hp thanks to electrical assistance.
