BMW recently presented a new entry-level version of the i4: the eDrive35. For the time being, it was not clear whether the BMW i4 eDrive35 would come to the Netherlands, but that changes today.
Good news for those who think the BMW i4 eDrive40 with its 340 hp drivetrain is too much of a good thing and can also manage with less than 590 kilometers of range. BMW is also bringing the recently presented i4 eDrive35 to the Netherlands. The Dutch importer confirms this to AutoWeek.
It is not yet known when the BMW i4 eDrive35 will come to the Netherlands and what it will cost here. We do know that the eDrive35 has a rear-wheel drive, just like the eDrive40. The electric motor on the rear axle is 286 hp and 400 Nm strong. This allows the i4 eDrive35 to reach a speed of 100 km/h in exactly 6 seconds. Unlike the eDrive40 and M50, the i4 eDrive35 does not have an 80.7 kWh battery, but one with a capacity of 66 kWh. The range is up to 490 kilometers and the maximum payload at 180 kW is also below that of the i4’s eDrive40 and M50.
The BMW i4 eDrive40 costs at least €60,630 in the Netherlands. The starting price i4 eDrive35 will be at least several thousand euros below that.
