BMW i4 ready for unveiling

Tomorrow BMW will pull the curtain on the fully electric i4. A car that is big news in BMW’s mid-segment on two fronts.

The fully electric BMW i4 is ready for its unveiling. This is evident from this teaser photo, in which BMW reports that ‘an electric car will be presented tomorrow’. The appearance of the i4 largely elaborates on the Concept i4 presented last year. A study model that we also had our noses on top of last year. As you can immediately see from the concept version, the i4 will be a derivative of the new 4 series. In fact, that is why the arrival of the i4 also means big news for the 4 series itself.

With the i4 we also get to roughly see what the new 4-series Gran Coupé will look like. Broadly speaking, the i4 will be the electrically powered version of that car. For the i4, count on some distinctive features, such as closed panels in the large kidneys through which the 4-series draws in its air for the combustion engine, as well as some blue i-accents.

The i4 was recently captured in a camouflaged form by BMW itself. Not without reason, we also got to see it quite transversely on a circuit, because BMW promises that despite its higher weight with the battery pack, the i4 will still be a car that steers as you would expect from a BMW. The introduction version also promises to put at least 530 electric horsepower into the shell, coming from one or two electric motors. This accelerates the i4 to 100 km / h in about 4 seconds. Count on a range of around 500 km. Of course there will also be other, probably mainly milder versions. We will know more tomorrow!
