BMW is sending the electric iNext onto the public road for a new test round. It is noticeable that the electric SUV is a lot better to see than before.
After the Vision iNext concept car, which showed itself exactly two years ago, it took almost six months for BMW to give the first sign of life from the production model. Although the concept car already showed a few things, such as the much-discussed grille by now, the test copies of the production model were packed up to date. The grille was skilfully concealed and the rest of the body was still fanatically covered. However, BMW is now starting a new test round in which much more of the car can be seen. The camouflage material gives way to a dark wrap with wild white lines.
Starting with the nose, it is immediately noticeable that BMW sticks to the remarkable grille. The new 4-series is the first production model to get this nose, after the i4, the iNext also gets the two unique grilles as a grille. Elongated headlamps adorn either side of the grille. At the rear, the rather large overhang of the spacious SUV is striking. The rear lights seem to be recessed in the remarkably wide tailgate. A trim breaks through the C-pillar and connects the third side window to the tailgate.
Around the turn of the year BMW presents the iNext. According to the latest reports, the iNext has to reach a minimum of 600 kilometers on one battery charge, although 700 kilometers were also mentioned earlier.
