The new BMW M3 and M4 Coupé are preparing for their Dutch market launch, which will take place in March 2021. In time, the M family will be expanded with a roofless M model: the M4 Convertible. A set of patent plates is available from that first-class bon vivant.

It is the first time in BMW’s history that the brand comes with a full-fledged M3 Touring. This new variant will soon join the M3 and M4 family that currently consists of the M3 Sedan and M4 CoupĂ©. Even before the M3 Touring comes onto the market, BMW is adding a third M version to the M3 and M4 family: the M4 Convertible. That car can now be seen from all angles, albeit in a very simple form.

The patent drawings of the new M4 Convertible have surfaced in the database of the European Patent Office (EUIPO). To be fair, the appearance of the new BMW M4 Convertible will not surprise anyone. The homeless version of the M4 Coupé also gets an aggressive muzzle in which a bumper with large cooling openings, together with the now well-known large grille, defines the image. The openings known from the M3 and M4 Coupé are visible on the front fenders. At the bottom of the buttocks, how could it be otherwise, the four distinctive M exhaust outlets. Two on each side.

The regular M4 has a 480 hp and 550 Nm six-in-line petrol engine with two turbos as power plant. That M4 has to tolerate the M4 Competition with 510 hp and 650 Nm strong version of the same engine above it.

price

The new M4 Coupé has a starting price of € 128,179, while the M4 Competition has a Dutch price of € 131,862. The price of the new M4 Convertible will of course be slightly higher. We expect a disclosure around March next year.
