BMW M4 GT3 is fierce crack nose

BMW has hoisted the M4 in a very fierce racing suit. The racing version of the M4 Coupé is named M4 GT3 and will participate in various long-distance races.

The BMW M4 GT3 is the racing version of the M4 Coupé in Competition trim. The exuberantly winged M4 GT3 takes over from the previous generation 6-series based M6 GT3. BMW M Motorsport has done quite a bit of work on the M4 GT3.

The M4 GT3 is a heavily covered crack nose that extends over a distance of no less than 5.02 meters. This makes it another four centimeters longer than the M6 GT3. Just like the M6 GT3, the M4 GT3 is also a lot longer than the car it is based on. The 4-series Coupé is ‘only’ 4.77 meters long. The wheelbase of the M4 GT3 also does not match that of the M4. Where the distance between the front and rear axles on the street-legal M4s is 2.85 meters, the M4 GT3 has 2.92 meters between its wheels.

Under the hood of the M4 GT3 is a 590 hp 3.0 in-line six, which sends its power to the rear wheels via a special manual gearbox. The technology has of course been extensively tested. BMW says it has driven more than 14,000 test kilometers. According to Munich, the M4 GT3 is ‘cheaper’ to maintain and has a cockpit that should be more comfortable for ‘amateur drivers’ compared to that of the M6 GT3, although the whole still looks extremely spartan.

The starting price of the M4 GT3 is € 415,000. In an absolute sense an enormous amount, although it is nice 4 mille less than the amount that BMW asked for the M6 GT3. Optionally, the brand provides a ‘Competition Package’ with which the GT3 is prepared for long-distance racing, among other things. You also get a day of training in a ‘BMW M4 GT3’ racing simulator. Just put that in your pocket.
