Sharper front

The facelifted BMW X6 has been caught again. The car did not appear in M-trim in front of the camera for once and has already lost a lot of camouflage.
The taut BMW X6 was first spotted in February. Since then we mainly got to see it as a BMW X6 M, but now it’s time for the ‘normal’ variant of this Coupé-SUV of all Coupé-SUVs. At first glance it may seem that little has changed compared to eight months ago, but secretly there is more of the lines under the psychedelic camouflage print.
That is of course not very exciting, but it does make it clearer what kind of treatment the front bumper will receive. The biggest news is the arrival of the two large vertical cooling vents on either side of the central air intake in the bumper. Next to that we find another vertical element on each side, similar to what the 3-series has since its ‘Life Cycle Impulse’ (LCI). With the ‘3’, this format is reserved for the version with M package, and that will also be the case with the X6. All variants get new, somewhat flattened headlights, which make the X6 a bit sharper. The grille is large, but no bigger than before. The fencing does seem to be getting a slightly different shape, with less pointed ends.
At the back, only the logo is actually camouflaged. We cannot discover much new here, because the rear bumper of the spotted car corresponds exactly to that of the current X6. However, the rear lights seem a shade darker. Whether this remains the case remains to be seen when BMW finally pulls the curtain on the revised X6.
