BMW X7 armored by Inkas

By nature, the BMW X7 is an imposing appearance, but when a malicious person unloads a full magazine of bullets, the occupants are nowhere. If you think you need that protection as an X7 owner, Canadian armor Inkas offers the solution.

Inkas Armored Vehicle Manufacturing is not exactly unfamiliar with the armor of SUVs. Previously, the company also took care of cars such as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the Bentley Bentayga and the Toyota Land Cruiser. Now it’s the turn of the BMW X7. The starting point was the X7 M50i, which has a 4.4-liter V8 with 530 hp and 750 Nm of torque as standard. From the outside, the mastodon looks like a standard X7, but the thick edges around the windows reveal that there is more to it. The level of armor is ‘BR6’, which means that the X7 can withstand 7.62 mm bullets from a machine gun and the force of two simultaneously exploding hand grenades.

To achieve this armor level, armor protection has been applied all around the cabin, including bullet-resistant glass that consists of several layers and an extra safe door behind the regular boot lid. In addition, Inkas strengthened the suspension and there are run-flat tires under the X7. If desired, the customer can also opt for a siren, ‘flashing lights’ in the grille, an automatic extinguishing system and improved brakes. Nothing else fundamentally changed in the interior of the X7: despite the armor, there is still room for six people.

Inkas does not report how much the X7 weighs with its armor. The price is also unknown, because Inkas only supplies the armored X7 on order. It will undoubtedly not be cheap.
