Brabus 930 Mercedes AMG GT 63 S 4 door

With the GT 4-Door 63 S E-Performance, Mercedes-AMG has a true plug-in hybrid monster in house, but there is always room for more. At least that is what people think at Brabus, where the Brabus 930 is ready on the basis of the same AMG-GT. Also suitable for those who really miss their BMW with M stripes in the grille.

The choice for the new Brabus over a regular Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door 63 S E-Performance provides at least one advantage: that name. After all, ‘Brabus 930’ is a lot more economical on your vocal cords than what Mercedes itself sticks to this car. What could also be an advantage – although doubtful – is that the Brabus version with 930 hp delivers even more power. Not that there was a lack of that, by the way, because this most powerful AMG-GT also produces 843 hp in regular form. With those 930 horsepower, this car is according to Brabus the most powerful Brabus ever, and we have no reason to doubt that.

The torque of the Brabus 930 is also impressive: 1,550 Nm. According to Brabus, this monster sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds, and then steams on to a top speed that is still somewhat disappointing at 316 km / h in light of all that power. The extra power is also due to the tickling of the combustion engine, the electric motor remains with its original 204 horsepower. Brabus is still involved with the chassis. Thanks to the Brabus Airmatic Sport-Unit, you can lower the air suspension by 20 millimeters at the touch of a button, for an extra cool look.

Now that that word has been used: we cannot ignore the other external adjustments. Let’s put it this way: the Brabus is beautiful, that is, if you have made it your life goal to scare the people around you as much as possible. In jet black, this über-Brabus looks very aggressive, but in our opinion this outfit has little to do with style or creativity. As always with these types of devices, there is a lot of carbon, while the black details are barely visible due to the equally black background. There is one exception to this: the red bar combination in the grille. It is reminiscent of the Aquafresh-like M stripes that are apparently irresistible to many BMW drivers, a questionable example.

In the interior we find a little more color, but only because all aluminum-colored accents here are executed in red. It contrasts wonderfully with the mood lighting, which the photographer on duty has set to a purple hue for unclear reasons.

Brabus 930

Our almost proverbial objectivity squeaks and creaks at the sight of this color combination.

In Germany, Brabus charges €384,436 for the car as shown here, including VAT. In the Netherlands, there will undoubtedly be quite a bit more, especially because the CO2 emissions of 286 grams per kilometer are a lot higher than the 180 grams per kilometer that Mercedes itself is allowed to specify for this device. For the sake of completeness: the color scheme presented here is of course not mandatory, because Brabus is happy to comply with the customer’s wishes. Surprisingly, they often come down to this. In addition to ordering an entire car, you can choose as you wish from the various parts of this package, also for an existing AMG-GT.
