Brabus and Chinese Wey launch VV7 GT

German tuner Brabus last year embraced the Chinese Great Wall, a collaboration that led to the arrival of this special VV7 GT.

During the Geneva Motor Show, the Chinese Great Wall and the German tuner Brabus announced last year that they are entering into a partnership. Brabus Automotive would work with Wey, the luxury brand of Great Wall, to develop special models and limited editions. The first tangible fruit of the partnership was presented today: the VV7 GT Brabus.

The Wey VV7 GT Brabus is therefore a special version of the VV7 GT (photo 6, 7 and 9), in fact the ‘coupé-SUV’ based on the already existing VV7 (photo 8). The car is 4.77 meters long, 1.93 meters wide and 1.67 meters high. This makes it about twenty centimeters shorter than the VV7, although the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2.95 meters. This version, designed by Brabus, which will simply be sold through the official Wey channels, stands out with its sportier-looking bumpers, wheel arch extensions and genuine diffuser at the bottom of the back of its more well-dressed VV7 GT brothers and sisters. In addition, this Brabus edition is also on substantial 21-inch alloy.

Wey has not yet released motor specifications. Possibly under the hood of the VV7 GT Brabus is the same 227 hp and 387 Nm strong blown 2.0 four-cylinder that also functions as a power station in the regular VV7 GT.
