Extremely luxurious, extremely potent and extremely off-road capable: the Mercedes-AMG G63 4×4² has it all. And especially after the mastodon has visited the Brabus horsepower fanatics. From now on they offer an 800 hp package for the raised G63.
When Mercedes-Benz launched the 4×4² variant of the previous G-class with portal axles, a V8 and large wheels and tires, the brand got its hands together. It was a shorter version of the even more spectacular G63 AMG 6×6, the car was preceded by a concept car at the Geneva motor show and the color in which it was launched was safety vest yellow. Can not be missed.
Yet there was much less attention for the work of the brand when it also introduced an extra high variant of the existing G-class. That car is not called G500 4×4², but G63 4×4². This time the brutal G does not come from the ‘regular’ Mercedes stable, but from Mercedes-AMG. Yes, the remarkably high model now contains the 585 hp strong V8 that we also find in many other AMG models.
With this, a standard G63 AMG 4×4² sprints to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.1 seconds – and according to Mercedes tuner Brabus, that is apparently not fast enough. Brabus now offers its B40-700 and B40s-800 package for the 4×4², increasing power and torque to 700 hp and 950 Nm or 800 hp and 1000 Nm respectively. The tuner does not release performance figures, but you can bet that the Brabus-G is even better at pushing cubic meters of air out of the way.
If you still have money left after ordering one of the B40 packages, you can also go to the tuner for external carbon fiber finery, new eight-bolt wheels and an extra high-quality upholstered interior. If desired, Brabus replaces the rear seat with two adjustable seats and a center console with integrated luxury items. Information about the prices of the modifications is reserved for the customers of the tuner.
