Brussels Motor Show postponed to 2022

The Brussels Motor Show has been postponed to 2022, organizer FEBIAC announced today. In mid-September, the organization assured that the car fair could most likely continue next January, but it is now being abandoned due to the recent growth in corona infections.

With the Brussels Motor Show, also known as the Brussels Motor Show, the organization hoped to be the first party to organize a European motor show for the first time in the corona crisis in early 2021. However, in view of the recent development of the virus, this will be discussed. Director Pierre Lalmand says he does not want to take the risk. “With the pandemic rapidly gaining momentum again, FEBIAC must decide that we cannot run a physical salon,” he says. “We do not want in any way to undermine the security measures and contact restrictions that the government expects of every citizen and organization.”

The plan was to have the Brussels Motor Show take place from 15 to 24 January 2021. The organization then announced that it had drawn up various scenarios that would allow the car fair to continue. The expectation was that fewer visitors would be present. So we will come back to that now. The event has been postponed to 2022, but the organization will immediately give a date: the 99th edition of the Brussels Motor Show should take place from 14 to 23 January 2022.
