I want to buy an external hard drive. But now I doubt whether an external SSD might be smarter. What is wisdom?

Yesterday John Vanderaart answered the question what to do if you get the message ‘No bootable image found’. Today he gives advice on buying an external hard drive (HDD) or external SSD.

The answer to that question is given by your wallet on the one hand, because an ssd (solid state drive) is more expensive than a hard drive. And on the other hand, because of your impatience: a hard disk is slower than an SSD. Therefore an obvious counter-question: “What weighs heaviest for you?” In the meantime, it has been consciously noted that you can buy very solid 2.5-inch SSDs that are super fast, that are light as a feather and that you can take with you very easily. Choices, choices…
