Is this the Atto 2?

The Chinese BYD is warming up the car world for the arrival of a new compact electric crossover that it positions below the Atto 3. These are the first official images of the BYD Yuan Up, but they are not exactly surprising.
The predictability of what we see on BYD’s teaser images has nothing to do with the design of the car itself. AutoWeek was able to show you the BYD Yuan Up that BYD parked in the darkness in front of these plates at the end of last year from every angle. So there are no more big visual surprises. The Yuan Up is an electric crossover that is one size smaller than the Atto 3. This would make the Yuan Up – if it were to come to Europe – more of a direct competitor to cars like the Peugeot e-2008 than the BYD Atto 3. .
With its car length of 4.31 meters, the BYD Yuan Up is considerably shorter than the 4.45 meter long Atto 3. The Yuan Up is just one centimeter as large as the aforementioned electric crossover from Peugeot. The wheelbase of the BYD Yuan Up is 2.62 meters, 10 centimeters less than the Atto 3. In China, the Yuan Up, like well-known BYDs such as the Tang, Han and Atto 3, is part of BYD’s Dynasty model family. BYD also sells models from its Ocean series in Europe, such as the Seal, Dolphin and the new Seal U, although the latter is a member of the Dynasty series in China. BYD sells a colorful collection of Dynasty and Ocean models here, so it will probably find a place for this Yuan Up without too much trouble. Possibly as Atto 2? Who knows. However, it is not yet clear whether the Yuan Up will also come to Europe.
According to the only technical specifications we have for the time being, the Yuan Up will be available with a 95 hp or 177 hp electric motor.
