Cadillac and Buick take a breath of fresh air in China

Buick and Cadillac are currently introducing one new model after another to the Chinese market. Recently, it has increasingly been about cars that have not yet been presented in their home country, the United States, or that are not coming onto the market at all. We mention the Cadillac GT4, the thoroughly renewed CT6 and cars like the Buick Envista and Buick Electra E5. The latter is Buick’s first electric car from the Electra family and it will soon be joined by a smaller electric crossover, the Buick Electra E4.

The Buick Electra E4 is 4.82 meters long and has a wheelbase of 2.95 meters. This makes it not even much smaller than the 4.89 meter long Electra E5. The wheelbase is even equal to that of its bigger brother. It is clearly drawn according to Buick’s new Chinese design language, complete with the pinched lighting on the front. At the back we find a stubborn rear spoiler at the bottom of the rear window. The rear lights are optically connected to each other. It is clearly the production version of the Electra-X Concept presented in the middle of last year.

Cadillac also has something new in store for the Chinese market. From the database of the Chinese Ministry of Transport and Information Technology, we have obtained the facelifted version of the XT4, which was also briefly delivered in the Netherlands. The XT4 gets a new front with more strongly squeezed headlights, copies that show similarities with those at the front of the new CT6. New bumper work on both the front and rear? From the party.

The updated XT4 will not come to the Netherlands and the same applies to the Buick Electra E4. Would there be a place for that electric Buick on the Dutch market? We are interested in your opinion!
